A large portion of Scarlett’s military training involved attending Covert Ops School, giving her an edge on the shady missions she tends to be involved with. In matters of stealth, investigation, surveillance and information gathering, she is almost peerless.

Espionage: Step back an Asset related to surveillance, investigation or intelligence-gathering in order to reroll your dice in appropriate situations.

Scarlett is a master of several different martial arts and is a qualified hand-to-hand combat instructor.
Gain 1 Plot Point when you roll a D4 instead of a D8.
Not Over by a Long Shot: You don’t need to gain a Complication to avoid being Taken Out in a fight (you still have to spend 1 PP, however). This trigger doesn’t apply if the character rolled an extraordinary success against you.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Scarlett was trained in the ancient fighting arts by her father and three older brothers, beginning at the age of nine years. By fifteen, she received her first black belt. Scarlett also graduated summa cum laude and passed her Bar Exams to practice law before moving into the military. Scarlett was one of the original members of the Joe team. On a mission into the Middle East, Snake-Eyes, Scarlett, Rock ‘n Roll and Grunt were sent to save George Strawhacker from Cobra. On the way, a helicopter accident forced the Joes to bail out, but Scarlett was stuck in the burning chopper. Snake-Eyes stayed behind to save her. He saved Scarlett, but a window exploded in his face, scarring him and damaging his vocal cords. The two became very close after that incident. Scarlett is a self-confident and resilient woman. She greets each mission with poise and calmness. Able to take a joke better than most, Scarlett is also quite a caring individual and will do anything she has to in order to protect her friends, family and teammates.

Serenity D8: Mal has a close connection to his ship, a Series 3 Firefly class mid-bulk transport, and won’t allow just anybody to fly or fix her.

Peace in the Black: When you offer wisdom or philosophize with a Crewmember on Serenity as part of a recovery Action, step up or double Treat.
Liberty Hammer D6: This is Mal’s Moses Brothers Self-Defense Engine Frontier Model B handgun, the standard issue officer’s sidearm during the Unification War. He’s since modified it to suit his needs.
Pointed Emphasis: When you threaten someone with your sidearm or conduct negotiations at gunpoint, spend 1 Plot Point to double Influence for the Action.
